Installation & First Steps

If you're already familiar with the WordPress backend, you can do it yourself. If not, we'll do it together during the onboarding session — screen sharing, 25 minutes, done.

Requirements

What your site must have

  • WordPress 6.0 or higher (currently: 6.x).
  • PHP 8.0 or higher (8.1+ recommended).
  • Admin access with rights to upload plugins.
  • HTTPS — Required for the AI modules (API calls).
  • Optional, if AI modules are used: API key from Anthropic, OpenAI or a compatible provider.

Not required: SSH access, FTP, database access, Composer, Node.js, build tools.

The 5 steps in detail

  1. 1. Download ZIP

You'll receive the latest plugin ZIP file via email link from us (or directly during our initial consultation). Download it to your computer—no PHP knowledge, FTP, or server interaction is required.

  2. 2. WordPress Admin → Plugins → Install

In the WordPress backend, navigate to "Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin". Select the ZIP file → "Install Now" → "Activate".

  3. 3. Initial Configuration

After activation, a new menu item "Accessibility" will appear. Click through the onboarding wizard there: select site type (club site, shop, authority, blog, coach), theme adapter automatically detected, recommended modules pre-selected.

  4. 4. (Optional) Store AI key

If you want to use the 4 AI modules: Obtain an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, or a compatible provider. Enter the key in the "AI" tab. No AI key = the mechanical modules will still function fully.

  5. 5. First exam

Tab „Audit" → „Scan Site". The plugin scans the first 20 pages and displays any issues detected. You can then work through the list or export it as a CSV file. The frontend panel is now live on the public site.

If something doesn't work

Common stumbling blocks

„"Plugin ZIP file too large" during upload
Server limit too low. Solution 1: Set `upload_max_filesize` to 64 MB in `.htaccess` or via your hosting control panel. Solution 2: Extract the ZIP file to `wp-content/plugins/` via FTP — the plugin will then appear directly in the list.
„"White Screen of Death" after activation
Very rarely, almost always a PHP version conflict. Rename via FTP to `wp-content/plugins/` → site will work again → contact us, we'll provide a diagnosis.
The frontend panel does not appear.
Clear your caching plugin. If your theme isn't calling `wp_footer()`, the anchor is missing — please let us know, and we'll provide a patch.
AI modules report "API key invalid"„
The key has expired or is linked to the wrong provider (e.g., OpenAI key in the Anthropic field). Select the provider in the "AI" tab and re-enter the key.

Would you prefer to install it together?

We handle onboarding via screen sharing by default. In 25 minutes, your site will be up and running with the plugin active and clean defaults.
