16 WCAG modules + 4 AI features — what each module really does

Each module is a standalone code modification in the frontend—no overlay layer, no sandbox. You only activate what your site needs. The list below shows each module with its WCAG reference and function in one sentence.

16 Mechanics Modules

Code fixes without AI — Standard license

These modules work exclusively with the DOM and CSS. No token consumption, no external API calls. They take effect immediately after activation in the plugin backend.

    Assigns missing ARIA labels and roles to interactive elements.

    Sets semantic landmark roles and jumpable anchors.

    WCAG 2.1.1

    Full keyboard operation including tab order repair.

  • Heading hygiene

    WCAG 1.3.1

    Detects and corrects skipped heading levels (h2 → h4).

  • Contrast scanner

    WCAG 1.4.3

    Live scan in the frontend: check all text/background pairs against AAA.

  • Color Contrast Fix

    WCAG 1.4.6

    Automatic contrast enhancement in CSS variable-enabled themes.

  • Accessible forms

    WCAG 3.3.1

    Label-for linking, mandatory field aria, error text linking.

  • Tabindex Manager

    WCAG 2.4.3

    Eliminates positive tabindex values and repairs the logic order.

  • Reduced Motion Guard

    WCAG 2.3.3

    Respects `prefers-reduced-motion` and removes auto-play animations.

  • Alt text audit

    WCAG 1.1.1

    Scans media library and pages for missing alt text.

  • WCAG 2.4.4

    Finds generic link texts („more", „here") and suggests improvements.

  • Language attribute

    WCAG 3.1.1

    Sets the `lang` attribute to the HTML root + element level for foreign language passages.

  • PDF Detector

    WCAG 1.3.1

    It identifies untagged PDFs and suggests a tagging workflow.

  • Video caption notice

    WCAG 1.2.2

    Detects videos without captions and displays a notification.

  • Touch Target Size

    WCAG 2.5.5

    Checks minimum clickable area of 44×44 px and reports buttons that are too small.

    Generates German alt text for images without descriptions — directly in the media library. Bring-your-own-key (Claude/OpenAI).

  • AI Easy Language

    AI

    Translates page content into DIN-SPEC-33429 compliant plain language. Toggle in the frontend panel.

  • AI ARIA assistant

    Suggests correct ARIA roles and labels for complex custom widgets — contextually.

  • AI Audit Assistant

    Detects WCAG violations on the page and provides concrete solutions as an issue list.

The panel is no Sales overlay. It's a toolbox for end users — hidden behind an inconspicuous button and only visible when someone deliberately opens it.
