JavaScript overlays fail audits

External data layer complicates GDPR

What the AI specifically takes over
Vier Aufgaben brauchen ohne KI viel Zeit. Unsere Lösung spart diese Zeit. Ein Alt-Text-Generator hilft beim Bildtext. Sagt der Bildschirmleser sonst nur den Dateinamen, kommt mit KI und Redakteur eine genaue Beschreibung. Ein schwerer Text: „Die Veranstaltung ... Änderungen ... offiziell." wird zu: „Die Veranstaltung findet statt. Aber Corona kann das ändern. Wenn das passiert: Wir sagen rechtzeitig Bescheid. Auf unserer Webseite. Und per E-Mail." KI macht den Text leichter. Zusätzlich hilft die KI beim „Knopf“-Satz. Der Bildschirmleser sagt oft nur „Schaltfläche" und „Knopf". KI gibt klare Bedeutung.

Frontend panel with real customization — no fake mode
Viele „Accessibility-Knöpfe" bieten 30+ Profile, wie Epilepsie oder Autismus. Das klingt gut, ist es aber nicht. Die meisten Profile verändern nur das Aussehen, aber nicht die Struktur. Unser System macht weniger, aber es sind die richtigen Sachen. Technisch speichern Daten lokal, es passiert sofort, ohne Verzögerung. Es nutzt reinen JavaScript ohne zusätzliche Programme. Für Rollstühle: es trägt die Kennzeichnung und kann komplett mit der Tastatur benutzt werden. Im Hintergrund einstellbar: Platz, Farbe, Beschriftung.

Websites with contact forms, booking options, shops, donation or member areas will be subject to mandatory compliance with the German Federal Data Protection Act (BFSG) from June 28, 2025. A plugin corrects technical deficiencies, and AI assists with content creation.
Agencies
With multiple client sites. Plugin as a central tool, export/import of settings, modular delivery — only activate the required modules for each client stack.
Authorities and public bodies
BITV compliance required; own data sovereignty necessary. Plugin runs on-premise, AI Premium optional and via GDPR pipeline. Data processing agreement compliant.

What clients often ask about the plugin
Does the plugin work with Divi, BuddyBoss, or other themes?
Yes. The plugin is theme-independent and includes special adapters for Divi and BuddyBoss, as well as a generic adapter for all other themes. Theme bugs, such as Divi's blocked zoom, are specifically fixed.
Is the plugin alone sufficient for BFSG compliance?
It automatically corrects approximately 80 of the typical technical deficiencies. Content and editorial maintenance (alt texts for existing content, heading hierarchy, simplified language) remain the responsibility of the editorial team—but our AI modules provide substantial assistance. We continuously monitor this within our audit partner model.
How much does the plugin cost?
The plugin is part of our project packages or available as a standalone license. We'll discuss specific terms in an initial consultation—we don't offer flat rates because the scope, theme compatibility, and AI premium usage vary from project to project.
What happens during a WordPress update?
The plugin is compatible with WordPress 6.0 and later, and PHP 8.0 and later. In our audit partner model, we conduct brief testing on a staging environment before every major update. The snapshot feature simplifies rollbacks.
Are AI-generated alt texts legally compliant?
These are suggestions submitted via editorial review. The responsibility for approval remains with the website operator. While batch mode generates all alt text at once, it only saves it after explicit confirmation ("Apply all X texts").
Will my theme be changed?
No. The plugin patches at runtime without modifying any theme code. You'll see the effects in the rendered HTML—not in the theme files. Theme updates remain clean.
Can I continue working later without the plugin?
Yes. GPL-3.0, no vendor lock-in. The plugin patches the rendered HTML, not the theme. Deactivating the plugin will remove the automatic fixes, but the theme and its content will remain unchanged.
Which WCAG criteria does the plugin cover?
16 core WCAG 2.1 AA criteria directly implemented: 1.1.1, 1.3.1, 1.4.1, 1.4.3, 1.4.4, 1.4.6, 1.4.10, 1.4.12, 2.3.3, 2.4.1, 2.4.3, 2.4.6, 2.4.11, 3.1.5, 4.1.2, 4.1.3. Further criteria are covered via AI modules and editorial maintenance.
How does multilingualism work — and what does it cost?
We are focusing on integration with TranslatePress. This translates not only the control panel, but also the complete website — Texts, menus, images, buttons.
Included in the basic version: An additional language besides the standard language (typically German + one other). This first translation is included free of charge.
More languages are optional: Translation costs apply for each additional language—either via the TranslatePress Pro license (automatic translation using DeepL or similar services) or through manual translation maintenance. We will calculate these costs transparently with you during our initial consultation.
