AI Easy Language

Translates complex content into DIN-SPEC-33429 compliant plain language — as a frontend toggle for visitors.

What it does

Function in one sentence — and in three sentences

Plain language is the simplest form of German: short sentences, simple words, clear structure. Mandatory for public authorities (BITV 2.0 §4), recommended for educational and club websites.

This module gives your visitors a "Plain Language" toggle. The plugin generates the translation on the first visit via AI and caches it per page—subsequent clicks are instantly available.

Technical measures

System prompt according to DIN SPEC 33429Sentences ≤ 15 words, active voice instead of passive, explain foreign words, maintain layout.
Per-page cacheThe translation will be stored in the database after the first request.
Frontend toggle: Button in the frontend panel + optionally as a separate top bar toggle.
Images, links, layout remainOnly text is replaced; the structure remains unchanged.
Editorial overrideFor legally sensitive texts (data protection, terms and conditions), you can specify a manual version — AI remains unaffected.

When do you need the module?

Use case

Mandatory for government websites (BITV 2.0). Highly recommended for educational, social, and association websites. Online shops benefit from simplified ordering processes.

Important: For legally binding translations (e.g., official declarations), certified plain language translations with a review panel remain the standard. The AI-generated version is a service, not a legal obligation fulfillment tool.
