Das Modul setzt wichtige Rollen. Es erstellt Sprung-Links. Diese helfen Tastatur-Nutzern und Programmen für Menschen mit Sehbehinderung.

What it does

Function in one sentence — and in three sentences

"Skip to Content" ist sehr wichtig für Barrierefreiheit. Viele Webseiten fehlen diese Links. Manchmal sind sie unsichtbar. Das Modul setzt einen sichtbaren Link. Der Link erscheint beim ersten Tab-Druck. Das Modul sorgt auch für richtige Seiten-Rollen.

Technical measures

Skip link will be inserted automatically. — directly after ``, with a jump to the first `
`- or `#content` anchor.
Visible when focused: no hidden "off-screen" trick, but a truly visible button with AAA contrast.
Landmark repair: missing `role="main"`, `role="navigation"`, `role="banner"` will be added.
Aria label for landmarks in the case of multiple identical navigations (e.g., two navigations: "Main Navigation" / "Footer Navigation").
Tab order: Skip link gets `tabindex="0"`, jump target `tabindex="-1"` for clean focus transfer.

In the plugin backend

You can find these settings in the module tab.

Skip link text (default: "Skip to content")
Jump target selector (Default: `#content`, Fallback `main`)
Multiple skip links are possible (e.g., "To navigation", "To footer")
Theme skip link detection: if present, the module is automatically deactivated (no duplicate link)
CSS override: Link position and styling

When do you need the module?

Use case

Jede Webseite muss diese Funktion haben. Das ist eine Pflichtregel. Die Regel heißt WCAG-Level A. Sie muss erfüllt sein. Hat dein Webseiten-Design schon einen Link? Das Modul arbeitet dann nicht. Es vermeidet doppelte Links.
